What a caper!!
I know capes are wrong, but they are cropping up everywhere! The druid on a day-trip look might be acceptable, but the superhero look is never right....
So are capes a feature in A/W 2006?

The cape is so wrong that it's right. (okay that was a bit rubbish). I'm loving the cape but the key is to find the appropriate cape proportions based on your body type. Otherwise it can way of the poncho - great on some disaster on most. I already found my coveted cape by Phillip Lim 3.1. Agree superhero is wrong but Sherlock look is so right. Though the ultimate dilemma thrown up by the cap - how to carry the over the shoulder purse? What do to with your bag. Doesn't quite work. Need to be hands/arm free.
I think the Darth Vader/ Jedi cape always looks cool. The force is strong with this fashion trend...
Hmmm... I blame Babs Bitchford for the resurrection of this trend. I seem to remember her donning a huge green tweed cape at a Halloween party a couple of years ago. Its been a slow burner, but now there's no stopping it!
I apologise, but my cape was made from welsh tweed so i put the blame back on stinks.
You know i saw a pink version of that welsh tweed being used as a table cloth, so capes are versatile too!
